In the power galleries, experts opined that when Manipur is restive for the last 18 months then why is the government not sending the working and retired Manipur cadre IAS and IPS officers in the State? If the government does so , they opined, will be more effective to handle the situation. Out of cadre officers he is not well versed with the political situation and the topography of Manipur whereas cadre officers won't face such a situation. Presently, two Manipur cadre IPS officers are DG of Central Police Force in Delhi. Kuldeep Singh, retd DG, CRPF has been appointed security advisor , Manipur. He is a West Bengal Cadre IPS officer. Presently, Rajiv Singh,a Tripura cadre IPS officers is the DGP Manipur. Before going to Manipur , he was in CRPF.
